Man pleads guilty

to using cattle prod on teen

Nov. 8, 2012 | 0 comments

An eastern Iowa man accused of using a cattle prod on a 16-year-old girl has pleaded guilty.

The Gazette reports that 50-year-old Eric Kolsrud, of Shellsburg, pleaded guilty to assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Authorities say Kolsrud used the shocking device on the girl following a dispute.

Authorities say he also told a 15-year-old girl that she had to lie to officers if she were asked about the incident.

Sentencing for Kolsrud is scheduled for Nov. 15.
