Final call for Wisconsin FFA Foundation golf outings

June 14, 2012 | 0 comments

It's the last call to tee up and support Wisconsin FFA by playing a round of golf through the Wisconsin FFA Foundation.

Three Wisconsin FFA Foundation golf outings are planned this summer: July 23 at Wild Ridge Golf Course in Eau Claire, July 24 at Royal St. Patrick's Golf Course in Wrightstown and July 30 at Cherokee Golf Course in Madison.

Be sure to note the new course for the southern outing and the potential appearance of professional golfer, Steve Sticker. Visit http://bit.ly/wwrT5F for more information and to register by July 9.

The outings are an 18-hole, best-ball scramble format for teams of four golfers. Per golfer registration fees are $80 and include 18 holes of golf, cart rental, breakfast and lunch, and many prizes.

Individuals unable to join the golf outing are welcome to join in the fun at the 2 p.m. awards luncheon for $15. The events are open to the public and will feature a celebrity guest.

All proceeds from the golf outings will support Wisconsin FFA's annual fund, which is the heartbeat of Wisconsin FFA and Agricultural Education's financial support.

The annual fund provides consistent resources to core programming and career preparation activities as well as any urgent needs that arise.

Sponsorships from individuals and companies are accepted and greatly appreciated.

Hole sponsorships start at $300 and the three different sponsorship levels include benefits such as: free golfer registrations, signage at the event, radio recognition and much more.

The afternoon activities will include silent and live auctions. Donations of auction items are welcome. All contributions beyond the cost of the golf or real value of auction items are tax deductible as allowed by law. Sponsorships are due July 9.

To register and to learn more about donations or sponsorships, visit the Wisconsin FFA Foundation website at www.wisconsinffafoundation.org or contact Amy Ryan, donor relations manager, at aryan@wisconsinffafoundation.org or 608-831-5058 x2.
