Equity begins program with 4-H and FFA

Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association announced the start of a year-long sponsorship program that will donate funds to both the Wisconsin and Iowa 4-H and FFA Foundations.

Equity Livestock, established and partnering with producers since 1922, has committed to contributing 10¢ for every animal marketed for one year to youth development to help increase resources and invest in positive involvement for youth.

"As a livestock cooperative, our responsibility and mission is to support and encourage growth in agricultural organizations," says Chuck Adami, Equity's President and CEO.

And as a result, A Good Way To Grow was created and approved at the June board of directors meeting.

"We chose 4-H and FFA members as the recipients of this program so we could provide our youth with more opportunities and give back to many rural communities," Adami stated.

This plan will be implemented on July 1, 2013 and go through June 30, 2014.

"Equity is a producer's marketing cooperative that is built on strength, dedication and partnerships," says Adami. "We've always encouraged our patrons to stay connected as we strive to improve programs and services that will be advantageous to a successful future."
