Accelerated Genetics Winter

Get-Away scheduled for February

Dec. 13, 2012 | 0 comments

Producers are invited to the 2013 Winter Get-Away themed "Let's Go To The Fair," sponsored by Accelerated Genetics, on Feb. 2-3, 2013, at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells.

This weekend get-away is designed for producer-farm owners or herdspeople and their families.

Besides relaxing during the weekend, adults can attend educational sessions one of which will feature Minnie Ward, dairy calf and heifer consultant. She will speak about the importance of nutrition and feeding dairy calves.

Youth will be able to get involved in fun indoor activities including a Pedal Tractor Pull Contest.

On day two of the event, there are adult and youth combined break out sessions that cover dairy and beef showing and fitting, agricultural promotion efforts, dairy judging, video interviews and much more.

For this year's theme "Let's Go To The Fair" everyone is to dress up for Saturday's dinner in an outfit of someone or something that might be seen at a local county or regional fair (ie. dairy or beef showperson, dairy princess, clown, etc.) Prizes will be awarded for best costumes.

There will be plenty of time for everyone to network and enjoy the Chula Vista Indoor Waterpark.

Reservations are needed by Jan. 2.

For more information and to register call 1-800-451-9275 or email ProducerProgram@accelgen.com.

All meals, speakers and planned activities are compliments of Accelerated Genetics. The producers only cost is a hotel room at $129/night.
