Feb. 21, 2013 | 0 comments

About 100 calves were killed in a fire at a Carver County dairy farm.

Belle Plaine Fire Chief Todd Otto says the fire was discovered early Tuesday (Feb. 12) as farm workers went to milk the cows. The Halquist Farms dairy operation has 400-500 cows.

The Star Tribune says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
