3rd Annual Black River Spring Thaw Beef Show, April 13-14

On April 13-14, a jackpot steer and heifer show will take place at the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Black River Falls.

Animals will start arriving Friday, April 12 at 6 p.m.

Showmanship classes for ages 8-19 as of Jan. 1 will start at 12 noon on April 13. The "Local" show will follow at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The regular steer and heifer show will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 14. One hour of check-in will be available Sunday morning for those who are unable to arrive on Saturday for check-in.

Awards for showmanship, overall champions, breed champions, and local champion will be given during their respective shows.

Exhibitors from the following counties will be eligible for the "Local Champion" award: Clark, Eau Claire, Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau, and Wood.

New for this year the Top 5 will be selected on Sunday. Also new this year, the Wisconsin Angus Futurity Sale will be held in conjunction with the show on Saturday, April 13.
