$150 Young Hampshire

Want to start raising sheep and fall between the ages of 8-16 years old? Here is an opportunity for those interested to get started in the Hampshire breed.

The Wisconsin Hampshire Sheep Association is making available two $150 cash awards to be used to purchase a bred ewe or ewe lamb at the WSBC 58th Bred Ewe Sale on Nov. 5 or at any other public sale within a 12-month span.

Applicants must send a resume containing the following information: Name, address, phone number, parents' names, age as of Jan. 1, 2011. Applicants must also answer the following questions: Why do you want to raise Hampshire sheep? What would you do to promote the breed? How would you care for your animals? What are your future plans? What are your interests or hobbies?
