Women's Ag Leadership Summit planned Oct. 21

The Association of Women in Agriculture will present its 3rd Annual Women's Ag Leadership Summit on Friday, Oct. 21 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Madison.

The day-long program, open to all women involved in or with an interest in agriculture, kicks off with 'Your Unique Leadership Challenge - Women in Agriculture,' featuring Pat Alea, founder of the Women's Executive Leadership Summit at the University of Wisconsin School of Business Center for Advanced Studies in Business.

Other general sessions include 'Social Networking Now and in the Future,' presented by Greg Sanders, president of Sortis, a Madison-based digital marketing firm; 'People, Animals & Diseases - Perils of a Crowded Plant,' with Dr. Kate Jacques, director of nutrition for Alltech; and 'Enjoying the Journey,' featuring Kim Schaefer, CEO of Great Wolf Resorts and a participant on the television program, Undercover Boss.

Interactive breakout sessions include: 'Dress to Get Where You Want,' 'Can You Have It All' and 'What's Your Financial IQ.'
