Send a team to compete in the Pony Club Invitational Quiz Challenge. Teams will compete at Championships during the USPC Festival, held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, July 14-21.

Pony Club has been teaching horse management skills since 1954 and is committed to making competitive educational opportunities available to other equine organizations and their members. The USPC Quiz Challenge competition consists of five phases designed to test each competitor's equine knowledge in both the classroom and the barn. Quiz question materials will be based on the Pony Club C-1 and C-2 Standards of Proficiency and will utilize the 2014 Pony Club Quiz Rulebook. Study materials can be found on the USPC website, www.ponyclub.org.

The Quiz Challenge will begin with a welcome briefing and written test July 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Alltech Arena of the Kentucky Horse Park, with additional competition phases being held July 16-18. The Awards Ceremony will be held July 18 in the morning.

Representatives from equine organizations interested in sending individuals or a team(s) to compete should contact Wayne Quarles at (859) 254-7669. Entries open on May 1, and must be received by July 1. The entry fee is $1,040 for a team of four or $260 per individual. Attire will follow Article 7 of the Quiz Rulebook. Housing is available at Pony Club Festival rates at many local hotels. A list of hotels offering the festival rate is available on the USPC website.
