Agronomy update meetings, conferences set for early 2014

MADISON

Eight agronomy update meetings, sponsored by the University of Wisconsin Extension Service, will be held around the state during the first full week of January. The presenters will be agronomy specialists Joe Lauer, Dan Undersander, and Shawn Conley.

The first session will start at noon on Monday, Jan. 6 at Janesville. Meetings will be held in the morning at Madison and in the afternoon at Fond du Lac on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

On Wednesday, Jan. 8, the meetings will be in the morning at Kimberly and in the afternoon at Wausau. Eau Claire and Sparta will be the locations for morning and afternoon meetings, respectively, on Thursday, Jan. 9. The series closes with an afternoon meeting on Friday, Jan. 10 at Belmont.

Each session starts with a meal at either 7:30 a.m. or noon. Reservations are being taken by the Extension Service offices in the host counties.

Schedules and locations have also been announced for related meetings in early 2014. They are the Wisconsin Crop Management Conference at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison on January 14-16, the Midwest Forage Association Conference at the Chula Vista in Wisconsin Dells on Jan. 20-22, and the Corn/Soy Expo on Feb. 6-7 at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells.
