Wisconsin Championship Auctioneers Contest, Aug. 5

WEST ALLIS

The Wisconsin Auctioneers Association, in partnership with Wisconsin State Fair, will be holding the Wisconsin State Championship Auctioneers Contest on Tuesday, Aug. 5 with competition starting at 1 p.m. The competition will be held on the Main Stage in the Coliseum of the State Fair Park.

The auctioneers of this competition will be auctioning off items that have been donated by various companies and individuals. The competitors will be encouraging the general public to bid and support their best effort to influence the scoring of the judges.

There are five judges and when the finalists are named there will then be interview questions held on stage and then a final round for the judges to score to find the "Wisconsin Champion Auctioneer." The Champion Auctioneer will finish the sale by auctioning of the "Octagon Paving Brick" with the proceeds of this "brick" going to the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation.

The proceeds from this auction are used for scholarships, continuing education, FFA Foundation and a donation to the 4-H Foundation.
