East Central/Select Sires honors employees

WAUPUN

East Central/Select Sires held their annual awards banquet May 31 at the Crowne Plaza in Madison. The evening consisted of a social hour, dinner, a message from the board of directors and presentation of the performance and service awards.

Brad Fossum of Lodi was named Area Sales Manager of the Year. He was also honored for earning the highest Area DH Unit Volume, Area DH Unit Percent Increase, Area Total Unit Volume, Area Total Unit Percent Increase and SMS Volume. Fossum offers semen along with product sales to both dairy and beef producers in parts of northern Sauk, southeastern Richland, Columbia and parts of Dane, Green Lake and Marquette counties.

Runner-up ASMs of the Year were Brian Kelroy and Eric Westphal. That team was also honored for highest Area Diversified Product $ Percent Increase. In addition, Brian Kelroy of Marshall was honored for Personal Total Unit Volume and Personal Total Unit Percent Increase. Kelroy and Westphal of Eden serve as customers in Fond du Lac, Green Lake and Winnebago counties.

Bob Boatman of Darlington was honored with the Member Service Representative of the Year Award. Boatman received several honors that contributed to him earning MSR of the Year, including Personal Total Service Volume and for reaching his 160,000 first services milestone. Boatman provides artificial insemination services and offers semen along with product sales to dairy and beef producers in northern Green and Southwestern Dane counties.

Jeremy Konen of Mazomanie received the runner-up of MSR of the Year. Konen was also awarded for 60,000 first services. Konen serves customers in West Central and parts of Dane and Iowa counties.

The Outstanding Effort awards are given to employees who go above and beyond the call of duty every day. The Outstanding Effort Award for an MSR was presented to Casey Degnitz of Fredonia. Ken Nehls of Horicon received the Outstanding Effort Award for Relief MSRs. The Outstanding Effort Award for Other Employees was presented to Kim Smith and Kitty Richter of Waupun.

A number of other employees were recognized for sales and service; Total Lifetime First Service Inseminations; and Total Length of Service.
