Hamm relected to 12th term as Wisconsin NFO president

Fredonia dairy producer Don Hamm was recently reelected to serve his 12th term as president of the Wisconsin National Farmers Organization.

Frank Pries, a livestock producer from Owen, was elected vice president. Sturgeon Bay dairy producer Larry Brickner will once again serve as treasurer. Ilene Moos, an organic dairy producer from Chetek, will serve as secretary.

The board also includes national directors Darlene Coehoorn, an organic dairy producer from Rosendale and Tom Crosby, a dairy and livestock producer from Shell Lake, trustees Don Moos, an organic dairy producer from Chetek and Dan Coehoorn, an organic dairy producer from Rosendale and Jill Derfus, a dairy producer from Greenwood.

District presidents also sitting on the state board include Don Hayes, East Central District, an organic grain producer from Columbus; Ray Ihm, Southern District, an organic dairy producer from Lancaster; Brickner, Northeast District; Pete Dillenberg, Southwest District and a dairy producer from Soldiers Grove; and Frank Pries, Northwest District, a livestock producer from Owen.

The National Farmers Organization is a non-profit organization headquartered in Ames, IA. The NFO uses collective bargaining, group marketing and risk management strategies to help enhance prices for its members and the agricultural industry.
