A meeting for graziers in eastern and northeastern Wisconsin to plan activities for 2013 will be held from 11 a.m-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at the Starlite Club, 2091 County JJ, just off Highway 55 at the northwest edge of Kaukauna.
The planning meeting is being sponsored by the Glacierland Resource Conservation and Development Council and being led by its grazing education consultant Valerie Dantoin-Adamski.
The meeting will include presentations by Glacierland's technical service provider for grazing plans Wally Sedlar and by a Natural Resources Conservation Service representative who will outline the cost-sharing programs available for establishing grazing practices.
Dantoin-Adamski will ask attendees about their interest in hosting a pasture walk during 2013. She would set up a schedule and handle other necessary arrangements.
She also notes that e-mailing will relied on as the primary vehicle for providing notices and updates.
There is no cost for attending the Dec. 5 meeting but pre-registration is required for the lunch, which will also be served at no cost
To register, send an e-mail to office@glacierlandrcd.org, send a Fax to 920-884-1243, or call 920-465-3006 no later than Nov. 25.
