JOHNSBURG

A national farm machinery show, tours of automobile assembly, forklift, and fire equipment nozzle manufacturing plants, and options of a tractor pull, dinner playhouse, and race track and museum visit are on the agenda for a bus tour for the second full week of February.

The chartered bus will leave a residence at W3502 County Q in northeast Fond du Lac County at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11 and head southeast to Indiana and Louisville, KY. A tour of Task Force Tips, which makes the fire equipment nozzles at Valparaiso, IN., is scheduled for mid-morning on the departure day.

After a night at the Holiday Inn at Clarksville, IN, the tour group will head to the machinery show in Louisville on the following morning. There is also an optional choice of a one-hour tour of the Kentucky Derby race track and museum in the morning. For Tuesday evening, Feb. 12, attendees will have a choice of a tractor pull at Freedom Hall or the Derby dinner playhouse for the "Don't Dress for Dinner" comedy.

The morning of Thursday, Feb. 13 will begin with a tour of the Louisville assembly plant for the Ford Escape, which is an SUV cross-over vehicle. The remainder of the day will be spent at the machinery show.

On the return day, Friday, Feb. 14, a morning tour is scheduled at Toyota's forklift plant at Columbus, IN. Depending on traffic and road conditions, the return time to Fond du Lac County is estimated to be around 6 p.m.

The cost of the trip is $375 per person for double occupancy at the Holiday Inn. A payment of $150 is due by Wednesday, Jan. 15 with the balance due at departure.

Payments are to be sent to John Bertram, N9517 County W, Malone, WI 53049. More information can be obtained by calling 920-795-4776.
