Iowa-based marketing firms open Wisconsin office
Friends, relatives, clients and business associates gathered at the offices of Flavorful Insight and the Soyfoods Council in the Market Monday night to celebrate the official opening of the Wisconsin branch of these Iowa based agricultural marketing firms.
Flavorful Insight has been successful helping specialty food companies with their marketing needs. Through strategic networking and public relations and promotional efforts, Linda Funk and her associates have helped guide their clients in their marketing efforts. The company's team has relationships with top food industry and consumer magazines, several food writers and top chefs and has successfully secured placements in national media coverage and industry for food and farm clients.
As Funk, president of Flavorful Insight puts it, "Flavorful Insight is a full service public relations and marketing communications agency with a passion for food. Our services cover a wide range of expertise so that food businesses of all sizes can find marketing and public relations solutions."
Funk has more than 35 years of marketing experience, working particularly in the food industry.
Understanding the needs of commodity organizations is one of her greatest strengths. Some of her most notable accomplishments include spear-heading the promotion of specialty cheeses while with the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board and building awareness and use of soyfoods across all sectors of the food industry for the Soyfoods Council. She also has extensive experience building private label brands. Past experience also includes time with Ambrosia Chocolate, where she opened their first test kitchens and helped launch new products, and Pepsi-Cola, where she led consumer response, complaint and promotional programs.
Christine Lindner joined the company in October 2012 soon after she completed her reign as Wisconsin's 63rd Alice in Dairyland. She grew up on a Dodge County farm and has extensive experience in marketing and public relations.
Her experience promoting Wisconsin agricultural products and working with the media has helped her a great deal and she is now able to tap into that experience to help specialty food producers and agribusinesses around the state market their unique products.
Her goal is to help Wisconsin farmers, agribusiness food companies and organizations looking for marketing, communications and public relations expertise build awareness of their products.
