GrassWorks Inc. seeks new executive director

Feb. 9, 2012 | 0 comments

GrassWorks Inc., a grass-roots nonprofit membership organization dedicated to increasing awareness of the benefits of managed grazing among farmers, policy makers and the general public, is seeking an executive director.

The ideal candidate should be a strategic leader who can work effectively with the GrassWorks Board of Directors, organization members, livestock producers, university researchers, agency representatives, and politicians to build consensus and bring the vision of the Board to fruition.

In addition to sponsoring the annual Wisconsin Grazing Conference, GrassWorks facilitates on-farm research by members and works with science professionals through the Wisconsin Institute of Sustainable Agriculture (WISA) Research Program, gathering information on the impacts of managed grazing in communities, the environment and society

The GrassWorks executive director serves as a voice for graziers in Wisconsin and works to ensure that GrassWorks continues to develop quality educational and professional opportunities for graziers of all levels.

For a full position description, visit www.grassworks.org or contact Bridget O'Meara at 715-808-0060 or info@grassworks.org
